Proper preparation on the day of sealcoating is key to achieving durable, long-lasting results. Our team at Shamos Paving & Sealcoating provides clear instructions to help you get your property ready.

The below information will be in your scheduling email that is sent 1-3 days in advance:

We cannot give a specific arrival time as it depends on our day's work.

To ensure our efficiency, please have the following completed by 7:00 am

Clear the work area of everything, including vehicles.
Power washing, only if noted on your quote.
Turn off sprinkler systems, if applicable.
Turn off air conditioners if they hang over the driveway.
Have cash/check payment for us to collect when we arrive (can be left on door/under mat, etc. and made out to Shamos Paving & Sealcoating.)

Please note:

You can walk on the seal coating and turn air conditioners back on once it dries (not tacky/sticky to the touch).
We recommend keeping your vehicles off from it for 2 to 3 days.
We will rope/cone off the area before we leave.
Changes to the schedule due to weather would be communicated day of, if you do not hear from us, we are coming!
